KIT COVER

KIT COVER:
The kit cover is a folder to hold our letterhead and business card. The purpose of this project is to see how you show off your company's brand through interesting eye catching ways while holding a business card. This project was probably the most difficult ones due to the craft of making it. I didn't have a hard time finding elements but it took awhile to make the inside of the kit cover. Cutting the wavy pocket was not fun either and trying to cut a slit for the business card became an obstacle. I wish I had more resources and time to construct it since I was very upset with how I made it and ran out of the paper I wanted for it. It felt flimsy and not professional so I would give it a 4/10.
RESEARCH & BRAINSTORMING

RESEARCH:
My research for this project wasn't too in depth. I should have included some past student examples since those are the ones I really looked at, but overall, I just wanted to research what a standard company folder looked like and their pockets.
SKETCHES & DOODLES

SKETCHY:
These were my only sketches for this project. I am satisfied with them and I think they helped me figure out the vibe I was going for. I ended up doing the first sketch with the wavy pocket and some of the last sketch elements for the inside landscape.
THUMBNAILS

THUMBNAILS:
For my thumbnails, I just cleaned up my sketches and went with three different looks. I tried the wavy pocket, the rounded pocket, and the regular rectangle pocket. I felt that the wavy one worked best with the look of my company and I really liked the second thumbnail (last on this list) with the desert background in it.
B&W DUMMIES

B&W DUMMIES:
I only ended up finding two black and white dummies even though I made three (so that sucks). Either way these were cute and fun. A very good way at figuring out how I want the pocket to look like.
B&W PROGRESSIONS
LACK OF PROGRESSIONS:
For this project, I had no progressions since I never changed my design from my sketches and thumbnails. I should have had more progressions but I kept to the same design.
COLOR PROGRESSIONS
COLOR PROGRESSIONS:
Same thing for the color progressions. I had 0 progressions in general since I stuck to my first colors and design so womp womp on this for me. Next time I would like to try more tints maybe.
